FILE FORMATS

Translation is about converting source text from one language to another. In the translation industry the client can send work through different file formats. These files may contain textual or factual data to be worked upon and can be required back by the client in any file format. Shan takes care in assigning the right job to the right person who has the exact knowledge of translation and file formats. For example, for Trados (Cat Tool) the format used is sdlxliff, for financial documents excel is used and such job can be assigned to not only domain experts but also to the translator who has experience working with the required file formats. Similarly for subtitling the output can be in word file or .srt format depending upon the client requirement, thus we assign the job to the one who fulfils all the requirements.

Thus when we assign the job, we take into account that our translator is expert not only in his domain but can also deliver the quality translation in the desired formats.
